Korea-related media of historical-cultural interest are often hidden in libraries and private collections around the world. In late 2011, as part of the THKS Project, the ANU Korea Institute established the online Pictori media library. The library allows users to browse, discuss and use images of interest to Korean Studies. The website also features a unique map function that makes it possible to browse the catalogue based on a particular geographical location.
