ANU Korea Institute Film Night (students only): Ode to My Father

The Australian National University (ANU) Korea Institute invites current students to attend a film screening of Ode to My Father.

A movie that broke box office records, Ode to My Father (JK Youn, 2014) presents an epic journey over six decades of South Korean history, from the Korean War to the 21st century, through the life of an ordinary man who experienced extraordinary things.

Kyung Moon Hwang, professor of Korean history at ANU, will provide a brief introduction to the film and, after the screening, a presentation on this remarkable film’s insights and controversies, followed by a Q&A.

This screening is open only to ANU students.
