Asian Secutity Seminar Series

The South Korean Ambassador, H. E. Dr Kim Woo-sang delivered an 'Asian security seminar'. His seminar was entitled "Korea's security in the Asian century". The Asian security seminar series is a joint initiative between the Department of International Relations and the Strategic & Defence Studies Centre.

Distinguished Lecture Series

Soon after its establishment, the Korea Institute instituted its Distinguished Lecture Series, inviting H.E. Dr Kim Woo-sang to give the inaugural lecture: Korea’s Middle Power Foreign Policy in the 21st Century.

Australia-Korea Leadership Forum

On the 14-15 of October 2008, the ANU Korea Institute hosted the First Annual AUSTRALIA-KOREA LEADERSHIP FORUM under the rubric ‘Partnership for Prosperity’.  This is a joint initiative of the ANU Korea Institute and the East Asia Institute, Seoul.  Distinguished delegates from both Australia and Korea held two days of discussion on

  • foreign affairs,
  • regional security and cooperation and
  • trade and business relations.
